RBI Assistant Exam Pattern

Since RBI has announced 525 vacancies for the post of Assistants, many candidates are asking about the exam pattern and other details related to this exam. In a series of multiple articles, clarifying various aspects of this exam, we present you the details of the exam pattern.

Based on last years pattern, the written examination, for RBI Assistants, comprises of objective type question divided into four sections.

Objective Type Test will have following five sections:

(i) Reasoning
(ii) English Language
(iii)Numerical Ability
(iv)General Awareness
(v) Computer Knowledge

Each section is of 40 Questions and each question having 1 mark, hence paper will be of 200 marks total. Total time duration to attempt the paper will be 2 hrs.

Passing Marks : The candidates MUST pass in each section of the objective test. The passing marks in each test will be decided by the RBI on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates in each test.

Penalty for wrong answers :
There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Accordingly, ¼ of the allotted marks for the question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
