1. India beat Pakistan to win second straight T20 World Cup for Blind title
i. Defending champions India defeated Pakistan by nine wickets in the final of the T20 World Cup for Blind to lift their second straight title.


2. National Women’s Parliament begins in Andhra Pradesh
i. The three-day National Women’s Parliament, being organised by Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly with the theme of ‘Empowering Women — Strengthening Democracy’, began in the state capital region Amaravati.

3. IIT Kharagpur to launch India’s first School on Quality and Reliability
i. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will launch the School on Quality and Reliability (Q&R).  To improve the quality of life for the Indian Citizens, this decision was taken. 
ii. The Q&R School will offer the academic courses, research, and mission-mode programs in India.

4. Ambassador of India to the Republic of Philippines – Narinder Chauhan
i. Former IFS officer Narinder Chauhan has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Philippines. Currently, he is serving as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Serbia.

5. Indian holds record for longest cycle journey in a country
i. Prasad Erande from Pune travelled 14,576 kilometres on a cycle across India, establishing a Guinness World Record for the ‘longest journey by bicycle in a single country’.

6. Hindustan Motors Sells iconic Ambassador car brand to French Company Peugeot. 
i. C K Birla Group-owned Hindustan Motors have signed a deal with French carmaker Peugeot SA Group on February 10, 2017 to sell its iconic Indian car brand “Ambassador” to Peugeot for Rs. 80 crore.

7. GMR Hyderabad International Airport has been honored with the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) Chairman’s Order of Merit on at the CAPA 12 Annual India Aviation Summit.

8. Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has inaugurated the second edition of ‘Hunar Haat’in New Delhi.
