1. The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the National Skill Development Fund (NSDF) for execution of skill development programmes.

2. India successfully test-fired the BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile. The purpose of the test was to validate the capabilities of the missile.

3. Prominent Konkani writer Mahabaleshwar Sail was selected for the Saraswati Samman 2016 for his novel Hawthan.

4. The World Kidney Day 2017 was observed with the theme Kidney Disease and Obesity: Healthy Lifestyle for Healthy Kidneys.

5. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat was conferred honorary degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) by the city-based Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University.

6. All restrictions on cash withdrawal from savings bank account have been removed. The Reserve Bank of India had announced about it last month.

7. Goa Governor Mridula Sinha last night appointed BJP Legislature Party leader Manohar Parrikar as chief minister of the state and asked Mr Parrikar to prove majority of his government on floor of the assembly within 15 days of taking oath.

8. B P Kanungo was appointed Deputy Governor in Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for three years.

9. 'Dangal' won the Viewer's Choice Best Film award at Zee Cine Awards 2017 on 11th March 2017.

10. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was tgiven the additional charge of the Defence Ministry after Manohar Parrikar resigned to take on the new role of Goa Chief Minister.

11. Telangana State Finance Minister Etala Rajender presented a development and welfare-oriented Rs. 1,49,446-crore Budget for 2017-18.
